The RM motor was completely redone and repainted. After market items are shocks and reproduction plastic & seat cover. Cables and some rubber items are NOS. Piston by WISECO. The bike has two sets of plastic. The tired set will be for racing and the good set is for show. The restoration took 14 months instead of the target 12 months. This meant that the two Vintage MX events in the area (Walton) were missed for 2006. The basket case bikes (2 1/2) were all hunted down within 2 hours drive from home (southwestern Ontario, near Michigan border). I have been riding MX bikes for 30 years and plan to race the #104 bike in 2007. I have not raced Vintage MX previously. I am a DeCoster, Rahier and late 70's RM fan. Marty Smith and CR Elsinores are also of interest. Other bikes in the collection are several Honda MR50 Elsinores, and several Honda CR125 Elsinores. Who is behind all of this madness? My buddy Shaun started redoing some Elsinores and an RM125B several years back at his shop and I simply succumbed to peer pressure. Incidentally, his 1974 CR125 and 1974 CR250 were used in the most recent Evel Knievel movie (shot in Toronto area in 2004) that starred George Eads (of CSI fame) as Evel.
